These terms cover any website you buy from OhGood. OhGood is a website studio run by Chat Nexus Inc. (“OhGood”, “we”). You agree to them when you tick “I agree” before paying. We’ve kept them short and plain. If anything is unclear, ask us at [email protected].

What you’re buying

• The package and any extras you choose on your claim page, as they’re described there when you pay. We keep a copy with your order.
• Anything beyond that (more pages, more rounds of changes, custom features) is quoted first, and only done if you say yes.
• We agree your launch date with you. We can’t promise search rankings, calls or sales.

Paying

• Pay in full, or in interest-free monthly payments with no fees: the first when you check out, the rest charged automatically each month to the card or bank account you paid with.
• Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or keep your full card or bank details.
• Prices are in US dollars. Want to pay off the rest of a plan early? Just ask.

The 30-day money-back guarantee

• Within 30 days of your first payment, ask for a full refund, for any reason. We refund everything you’ve paid, including any care plan payments, cancel any monthly payments still to come, and take the site down.
• If you take the site’s files (see “Ownership and your files”), the site is yours to keep, so it can’t be refunded after that.
• After 30 days, payments can’t be refunded, except where the law says otherwise.
• To ask, email [email protected] or reply to any email from us. The money goes back the way you paid, and usually shows up within 5 to 10 business days.

Monthly payments

• Your site stays on our hosting until your last payment.
• If a payment fails, Stripe tries again and we let you know. If it isn’t sorted out within 14 days, we may pause your site until it is. It comes back as soon as the payment goes through.

Ownership and your files

• Once your site is paid in full, it’s yours: the design, the code, and your own words and photos. Your domain name is always yours.
• Once it’s paid in full, we hand over the site’s files whenever you ask, so you can host it anywhere. If you ask within the 30 days, we’ll remind you that taking the files ends the guarantee before we send them.
• Until it’s paid in full, the design and code stay ours, and the site runs on our hosting.
• We may show your site in our portfolio, unless you ask us not to.

Your content

• You confirm you have the right to use the words, photos and logos you give us, and that they don’t break the law or anyone else’s rights.
• Your preview was made from what’s public about your business. If anything in it shouldn’t be there, tell us and we’ll take it out.
• We don’t host anything illegal or hateful, or anything that copies someone else’s work, and we may remove it.

The care plan

• From launch, your site is on the care plan, at the monthly price shown on your claim page when you paid. It covers hosting, maintenance, security and software updates, backups, uptime monitoring and 2 small edits a month. Anything bigger is quoted first.
• It’s required while we host your site. It starts when your site goes live, and nothing is charged for it before then.
• Cancel any time by emailing us. It stops at the end of the month you’ve paid for, and part months aren’t refunded (except under the 30-day guarantee). When it stops, the site comes off our hosting. If it’s paid in full, we hand you the files first.
• We’ll tell you at least 30 days before we change its price.

Our responsibility

• We build and look after your site with care, but no website is up all of the time, and things outside our control (your domain registrar, internet outages, other companies’ services) can affect it.
• As far as the law allows, our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem, and we’re not responsible for lost profits or other indirect losses.

Ending things

• You can stop at any time, as described above.
• We can stop working with you if payments aren’t made or these terms are broken, after telling you why.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we’ll post the new version here with its date. The terms you agreed to when you paid apply to that purchase.

The law

These terms are governed by the laws of California. If we disagree about something, we’ll try to sort it out by talking first.
